Terms of Service
What Tenure is
Tenure provides software tools for renters to analyze lease documents, compare market conditions, and generate negotiation guidance and related outputs.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that occurs under it.
Payments
Some features require payment. Pricing is shown before purchase. Unless stated otherwise, purchases are one-time purchases and not recurring subscriptions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, interfere with the platform, or upload unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized content.
Your data
You retain ownership of the documents and information you upload. You give Tenure permission to process that information as needed to provide the service.
Service changes
We may update, improve, or modify the service over time.
Termination
You may stop using Tenure at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tenure is not liable for decisions, negotiations, financial outcomes, or damages resulting from use of the service.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
We may collect account information such as your email, files and documents you upload, usage information, device information, and payment-related records from payment providers.
How we use it
We use information to create and manage your account, process uploaded documents, generate analyses and outputs, provide customer support, improve the service, and maintain security.
Payments
Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe. Tenure does not store full card details.
Your documents
You retain ownership of your uploaded documents. We process them to provide the service and do not sell them.
Data sharing
We may share information with trusted service providers only as needed to operate Tenure.
No sale of personal data
We do not sell your personal data.
Retention and deletion
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Disclaimers
Informational use only
Tenure provides informational and analytical tools only.
Not legal advice
Tenure is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
No guarantees
Any suggested savings, counteroffers, market comparisons, or negotiation strategies are estimates based on available information and are not guaranteed outcomes.
Data limitations
Market data, public records, and extracted document information may be incomplete, delayed, estimated, or imperfect.
User responsibility
You are responsible for how you use the outputs and whether to rely on them in discussions, decisions, or agreements.
Independence
Tenure is not affiliated with landlords, brokers, property managers, or listing platforms unless explicitly stated.
Refund Policy
Because many Tenure outputs are delivered digitally and immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once access has been provided.
If you experience a duplicate charge, billing error, or technical problem that prevents delivery, contact us and we will review and address the issue.
Changes
We may update these Terms, Privacy, and Disclaimers from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Tenure after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
